Bianca aka Lotus was a Sydney graff legend., She was tough street wise and had a wicked sense of humour. I painted with her a few times and she was nice enough to let me crash in her spare room years back when I was partying in Sydney. I spent the whole weekend getting free weed and drawing outlines for friends like her cousin ZOMBIE.

LOTUS and I did a street piece with FEAR DS just round the corner from Sydney Central Train Station that was featured in an article on Lotus in Blitzkrieg #6.

The Memorial was organised by MC Thorn and it will be on the 16th of December 2011. Details are on the flyer.

Sprung Festival
I was paid to go paint a 20 minute canvas and also to do a backdrop between acts. It was a great day, warm as hell. I was surprised by the number of young hotties having a ball. I guess the advertising on B105 etc really brought out a more diverse hip hop audience. Must have been 5000+ plus kids there and only a couple of incidents. Cops were out in force on the outside gate.

I took my friend DWAYNE and he had a ball.He got his girl Rachel in using my pass and they enjoyed the rider I had and the hospitality on the rooftop, with the constant supply of free booze and food.Dwayne said Lazy Grey did his usual dope underground set and it was a real highlight.

I split early around 4 /5 to go back to Coolum to spent time with my family and the German In Laws.Went deep sea fishing with my father in law and I got a 60 cm reef fish first cast. Pure fluke but lots of fun. Well worth the $120 for the half day out the front of Noosa. While I was around Coolum and I went and checked my mate Ben at Coolum Tattoo.... He really is winning allot of tattoo trophys at all the recent shows. He is absolutely killing it and improving everyday. He is definately a future star of aussie tattoo scene. He is always busy and the North Coast Hard Core scene is deep into ink.

Tattoo Highlights
I have done a few wild tattos this months including an aussie flag ripping thru someone throat. I got 2/3s thru and then the guy had to bail... hardcore spot. I did an old school eagle on Reds chest that cranked... straight out of the Spider Murphys Tattoo Studio's new book. Limited to 1000 copies worldwide and features eight different tattooers from that studios flash paintings.

Did a couple of praying hands which I have pictured here... always fun too throw a personal twist on this iconic image.

The bubble style KSINO was cranked out after a big night smoking and drinking with the MOAS wonder twins. ThWhile I was passed out they draw on my face and I was still so drunk when they woke me up in the middle of the night to go paint I did not realise. I went to sleep in the rats nest inside the tunnel and left a rather ill reminder of my presence to the workers of my presence underground. it took my 3 days to find all the new tattoos they added to my body.

I did the James Brown BBoy on the RIP James Brown car.... this car ran thru Times Square!!

We all attended the funeral at Apollo Theatre the next day. We ran into ESPO there one of the few other white faces we saw there.

A POLICE officer landed the fatal blows that killed Mulrunji Doomadgee while he was in custody on Queensland's Palm Island, a coronial inquest has found.
Senior Sergeant Chris Hurley may face charges after the acting State Coroner, Christine Clements, yesterday ruled that Mulrunji died after being struck while on the floor of a police station on November 19, 2004.
Queensland's Premier, Peter Beattie, said the Attorney-General, Linda Lavarch, had referred the report to the Director of Public Prosecutions, who will consider charges.
An autopsy in 2004 found that Mulrunji, 36, died from a ruptured liver and portal vein, and had suffered four broken ribs. The report sparked a riot on the island that left the courthouse, police station and barracks in ruins.
Ms Clements found that Senior Sergeant Hurley struck Mulrunji, who had been arrested for being drunk and disorderly and a public nuisance, several times after the pair wrestled at the back entrance of the station. She said Senior Sergeant Hurley was angry at being punched by Mulrunji as he let him out of the police vehicle.
"I find that Senior Sergeant Hurley hit Mulrunji while he was on the floor a number of times in a direct response to himself having been hit in the jaw and then falling to the floor," Ms Clements said.
"I conclude these actions … caused the fatal injuries. It's a terrible tragedy that such a minor incident can lead to a man's death in custody."
The accused riot ringleader, Lex Wotton, placed his head in his hands as Ms Clements read her findings to a Townsville courtroom. Mulrunji's de facto partner of a decade, Tracey Twaddle, wept silently. His three sisters were also in court.
In all, Ms Clements made 40 recommendations. She urged police officers to use alternatives to arrests when dealing with drunks, sought the establishment of a government-funded community patrol and diversionary centre on the island and recommended an overhaul of the police operational procedures manual.
Ms Clements said the tragedy could have been avoided, and she found police guidelines for routine checks on drunks in cells to be inadequate.
She also chastised the handling of initial police inquiries in which investigators from the mainland accepted lifts from and were guided by Senior Sergeant Hurley to the crime scene. They also had dinner at his house.
The Queensland Police Union has labelled the inquest a witch hunt. "This decision by the coroner has dumbfounded us. Chris Hurley has been hung out to dry by her," said the union's president, Gary Wilkinson.
"He has done nothing wrong and has the full support of the union."
The Queensland Government has set up a high-level task force to review the report's recommendations, while cabinet will consider the result of the review before the end of the year.
Outside the inquest, Palm Island's Mayor, Erykah Kyle, said the community wanted further justice. "[There's] a long way yet. A little at a time. We can only hope, you know."

Wicked summer LA Day where LAS Venice Beach was pumping. That day we painted we smoke some cheeba in front of the wall with no stress thanks to California's recently passed medical weed situation.

Kasino painted a LA Home girl on one end and DUSTER did his girl with the 70 hippie white girl funky hat on the left hand side. Thanks to the ICU Arts crew for hooking the legal up.
